Co.Couture, your festive season sweetener

Who would have thought that the sweetest of festive spoils are only a stone's throw away? That’s right - CoCouture chocolatier, Monica Pearson’s fresh artisan chocolate and gourmet gifts are created close by in Eatons Hill! Not only are food miles reduced, but you can celebrate her boundless innovation and creativity inspired by local partnerships… by nibbling these incredible creations.  Monica’s  love for creating chocolatey treats and meeting new people means she is constantly on the search for new toppings and suppliers to change things up.  And if you’re anything like me, the above doubles as low to non-existent barrier to consuming my weight in the CoCouture honeycomb chocolate I now dream of every night.

But can you blame me? Aside from the deliciousness (which can’t be argued), Monica brings a level of passion and individuality that will leave you her inspiring energy and her astonishing chocolate at your family table. Unsurprisingly, family and gifts is how it all began for CoCouture in 2012 with a Mothers day gift of a chocolate-making course in Melbourne. From there, it was a matter of time before her own kids got sick of taste testing and the rest of us were blessed by CoCouture chocolates!

Monica has undertaken extensive research into ethical cacao bean farming and the fair treatment of workers. The chocolate she sources is crafted in one of Belgium’s oldest cocoa roasteries and made from the best, sustainable cocoa beans of West Africa. To top that off, or add a touch of local colour, CoCouture partners with other local producers to incorporate their honey, fruit, flowers and herbs, resulting in the works of art that are CoCouture handcrafted chocolate bars.

Atop chocolates paired to cheese platters, teacher packs and pop ups around Brisbane, doing just that, CoCouture chocolates are not to be missed. You can get your share via the website or your local REKO ring
